Aluminum die casting utilizes high pressure to inject molten aluminum alloy into a precisely – made mold cavity during a metal casting process. This process enables the production of aluminum alloy parts featuring precise dimensions, smooth surfaces and complex shapes. Aluminum die casting is commonly applied to produce high – volume parts since a large number of identical aluminum alloy parts can be rapidly manufactured successively once the mold is made. Our top solar racking manufacturers are below.

The process of aluminum die casting usually includes the following steps:
- Mold manufacturing:we need to design and manufacture one or a pair of precision molds, which are usually made of high-strength steel and can withstand high pressure and high temperature.
- Smelting aluminum alloy: We heat the aluminum alloy material to a molten state, ready for injection casting.
- Casting:We inject the molten aluminum alloy into the mold cavity. This process is usually carried out under high pressure to ensure that the metal fills all the details of the mold.
- Cooling and curing: The molten aluminum alloy quickly cools and cures in the mold.
- Demoulding: We remove the cured aluminum alloy parts from the mold.
- Post-treatment: including gate removal, grinding, cleaning, heat treatment, surface treatment, etc., to meet the requirements of the final product.
Aluminum die casting has the following advantages:
- High production efficiency: Once the mold manufacturing is completed, a large number of parts can be quickly produced.
- High quality parts: accurate parts size, smooth surface, good mechanical properties.
- Can produce complex shape parts: die casting process can produce complex shape, detailed parts.
- High material utilization: die-cast parts usually do not require much machining, reducing material waste.
How long does an aluminum Die Mold takes ?
It depends on the drawings and size of the mold, usually for the roof mounting kits mold like 7-10 days, and for carpor or ground mounting mold, takes 15-20 days.
