Noticias de North Star Solar Power Net: The Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) said on Tuesday that its FY Reliability Outlook report said that by 2026, the Australian National Electricity Market (NEM) the rooftop solar energy could meet the potential demand of 77 percent, exceeding the 35 percent recorded last October. By 2025, Australian households will install 8.9 billion watts of solar panels, in addition to the current 14 billion watts.
According to Bloomberg NEF data, 30 percent of homes in Australia will have solar energy installed, as the world’s most distributed energy market, this is the case of how the global power grid has shifted from traditional power generation to new energy generation. AEMO said the measures could have more impact locally and South Australia could become the world’s first major power grid to meet demand at 100 per cent of household solar energy by the end of November.
AEMO stated that “NEM is leading the growth of distributed photovoltaics in the world. While these developments challenged the limits of the current power system, they also provided opportunities for ingenious market frameworks, demonstrating the operation of the world’s first solar power system, which offered new benefits to consumers.” I said
AEMO, which said that in addition to the launch of coal-fired power plants and the increased momentum of hydrogen development, household solar energy is accelerating the transformation of new energy models, added that no difference in reliability will emerge in the next five years. The NEM also does not include the regions of Western Australia and North Australia, as well as Tasmania.
AEMO chief executive Daniel Westerman said in a statement: “Australia’s energy system is transitioning to a decarbonised and dispersed power system. By 2025, renewable power generation can meet the needs of all our customers.”
