In recent years, China Building Materials Engineering Group has focused on the national green development concept, insisted on innovation and deeply cultivated global photovoltaic power generation projects. On the morning of October 9th, local time, the Portuguese Solara4 220 MW large-scale photovoltaic power station under the general contracting of China National Building Materials International Engineering Group Co., Ltd. held a power-on ceremony as scheduled at the project site located in southern Portugal. This is the largest photovoltaic power station in Europe with the largest single installed capacity. It is also the largest photovoltaic power station project built by Chinese companies in Portugal to effectively respond to the global epidemic. The completion of the project has made an important contribution to the global realization of the “carbon peak and carbon neutrality” strategy promised by the Chinese government, and has set a good example for countries around the world to carry out energy and environmental protection cooperation, accelerate energy transformation and achieve sustainable development.
Portuguese Minister of Energy João Fernandes, Secretary of State João Galamba, leaders of the provinces and cities where the project is located and State Grid Corporation of China, as well as representatives of contractors and major local media attended the ceremony. Zhao Bentang, Chinese ambassador to Portugal, sent a congratulatory letter to express his gratitude to China Building Materials for overcoming the huge difficulties brought about by the global epidemic, completing the project construction on time and with high quality, and for its contribution to the cooperation in the field of new energy between China and Portugal.
reported that Portugal’s photovoltaic power station can generate 382 billion watt-hours of electricity in Solara4, equivalent to the electricity consumption of 200,000 households. While providing Portugal with efficient and environmentally friendly energy every year, it effectively reduces carbon dioxide emissions by 330,000 tons. During the construction period, the team overcame the impact of the epidemic and successfully completed a series of work, such as engineering design, engineering construction, equipment installation and commissioning, with international first-class independent core technology and equipment, which fully complied with European standards and local government norms.
in recent years, China Building Materials Engineering Group has focused on the concept of national green development, adhered to innovation, and deeply cultivated global photovoltaic power generation projects. It has successively built a number of large-scale photovoltaic power stations in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Portugal. The brand effect and influence of Kaisheng New Energy have attracted worldwide attention.
